Bush Flying Unlimited, BFU, got established in July 2001 as a club for bush operations, based on the outstanding simulator Flight Unlimited III.

However, with the advent of FS2002 and its fantastic environment for bush flying, notably the Autogen features and the water effects, BFU has seen fit to expand and become an open-sim venture. Bush pilots can now use FUIII, FS2002 or Fly!2 as their sim of preference.

What do we do? We fly the bush for a living. We serve outlying villages and bush communities and camps. We deliver cargo, personnel, mail, anything that has to go the wild way. This is what we do. Lakes, valleys, mountains and forests are our home.

For FUIII, we operate out of an FBO at Renton, Washington state. For FS2002, we have a base at Renton as well, and we are right now in the process of setting up another base that will serve the Great North. It will be based at Bold Island, SE of Ketchikan, Alaska. Other bases, for any sim, will be set up as the need arises.

BFU is for anyone who has an interest in flying the wilderness. You can use any sim you want, and take on the job that you like. Come to work any time you feel like it, for this is purely a leisure bush club. If you think you have what it takes, come join us.
